Morphology-derived interpretation
VARIANTIS does not assign clinical relevance to a variant on the basis of its presence alone. Clinical interpretation follows anatomical description, classification where possible, evidence assessment and evaluation of topographical relationships.
Applied anatomical relevance
Clinical significance may include imaging interpretation, surgical anatomy, procedural relevance, neurovascular relationships, grafting or reconstructive relevance and anatomical reporting. These aspects are addressed within individual encyclopedia entries when supported by morphology and documented anatomical relationships.
